Bringing Electron Microscopes to the Masses
Electron Microscopy Innovative Technologies (EMIT) was founded in 2014 by hardworking entrepreneurs who wanted to bring powerful electron microscopes to a wide spectrum of customers.
Once Energy Dispersive Spectrometers (EDS) were introduced into user friendly Phenom Desktop Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEMs), we believed these tools could serve most customers' needs for quality control, R&D and materials analysis. We started the first SEM rental business in the U.S. because we wanted to let customers keep their R&D in-house while saving valuable time and money.
At EMIT, we provide a full range of options for short-term and long-term use of desktop SEM systems including daily, weekly, monthly and long-term rentals. All of our rentals include new user training and our off-site rentals additionally include instrument setup and remote support. For customers with larger projects, renting a system is a more cost-effective solution since renting a desktop SEM is typically about 1/4 the price of sending samples to an external lab. For those customers who may only have a few samples to run, we provide hourly SEM/EDS analysis services at affordable prices.
